A BIT ABOUT ME
I am a Running Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach based in Leeds specialising in strength & conditioning for runners. I coach runners of all levels from beginners to elite athletes. I can do this at your house, my house, a local park or running track.
I feel that strength & conditioning is something that many runners neglect to include in their weekly training schedule and as a result of that they leave themselves vulnerable to injury. We all know (or maybe we are) someone who is injured right now, coming back from injury or that person who is in a never-ending injury cycle. Injury amongst runners is all too common. It doesn’t have to be this way. You can protect yourself from injury by building a stronger more robust body that works more efficiently. You can address muscle imbalances and learn to move efficiently and athletically so as to minimise the recurrence of injury and crucially make yourself a stronger faster more powerful athlete and we all want that don’t we?
Maybe you are not injured and maybe you are chasing that next PB. Adding strength, power and speed is essential to lift you to that next level. Strength & Conditioning sessions can do that for you. All Olympic athletes and professional sports teams spend time in the gym with an S&C Coach. Don’t you think that you should too? Don’t be afraid to train like an athlete. Why shouldn’t you? It will reap rewards for you.
I will take you on for 3, 6 or 9 months at a time as those who commit to long-term development will see the best results. If you are targeting a PB at your next 5k, 10k, half-marathon, marathon or ultra your training block needs to be at least 12 weeks leading up to your race. If you are coming back from injury or wanting to prevent injury it takes time to build a robust body and to embed new movement patterns. It is a big commitment in time but how much do you want it? You can, however, pay monthly once committed.
